Tennis South Africa (TSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ghizela Enslin as Director: Player and Coach Development, effective 1 June 2026.
Ghizela has been an integral part of the TSA leadership team and has served as Head of the Coaching Department since 2018, where she has played a significant role in advancing coach education and development across South Africa.
During her tenure, Ghizela has overseen the growth and strengthening of TSA's coaching structures and programmes, helping to create opportunities for coaches at all levels of the game. Her leadership and commitment to excellence were instrumental in TSA achieving the prestigious International Tennis Federation (ITF) Gold Level Recognition for its coaching programme, one of the highest standards of coach development recognised by the global governing body.
The success of TSA's coaching programme has been underpinned by active collaboration with the TSA National Coaches Committee, a commitment to strengthening relationships with coaches across the country, and the provision of continuous professional development opportunities that support coaching excellence. These collective efforts have played a key role in elevating coaching standards and creating a stronger development pathway for South African tennis.
In her new role as Director: Player and Coach Development, Ghizela will provide strategic leadership and oversight across TSA's player and coach development pathway, including participation, coaching, and high-performance programmes. The appointment reflects TSA's commitment to creating a more integrated and sustainable development structure that supports the progression of players and coaches throughout their tennis journey.
