It’s all systems go at the Maties Tennis Club on the grounds of the Stellenbosch University for the Digicall Futures Series which begins on Saturday (qualifying draw) and Monday (main draw).

The Digicall Futures Series is three back to back ITF Futures tournaments for men and women. Each tournament has singles and doubles and other than important world ranking points, the events offer prize money of R450 000.00 played between 17 November to 9 December 2018.

Players from over 20 countries have started jetting into Stellenbosch for the summer swings of the ITF Futures Circuit.

There will also be a qualifying sign in for men and women for the Digicall Futures 1 this Friday, 16 November from 16h00 - 18h00.The tournament has confirmed that there are still a couple of spots left in the men’s qualifying and many in the women’s section.  

“We encourage all local players who are still on the alternate list or who missed the entry deadline and still wants to play to come and do an on-site sign in Friday afternoon,” said Tournament Director Le Roux Conradie.

Conradie said it was all system goes for the first tournament. “The preparation for the Digicall Futures Series is on track, we have a very good field with the men's draw being completely full. We will continue to work hard and are excited to provide another unforgettable & professional experience to the players.”

The dates for each of the 2018 Digicall Futures Series are as follows;

  • Week 1 (17 Nov - 25 Nov)
  • Week 2 (24 Nov - 2 Dec)
  • Week 3 (1 Dec - 9 Dec)

There will be a qualifying event on the Saturday and Sunday ahead of each tournament.
